Default lambda sensor ££

been quoted £120 + vat at scoobybits. is that the general rate everywhere, or has anyone any other links...

cars lumpy and misfiring on idle etc, maf and idle control valve changed, must be lambda.

could i fit it myself?

I just ordered one from camskill they have them on offer for 89 quid at the mo, I wouldnt bother with the universal ones, I got one for 30 pounds but still failed mot, quiet easy to fit just remove the turbo heatsheild and remove it with a 22mm spanner, I found it easier when the exhaust was warmed up to.

think the £120+vat is a dealer price as jase said to use only a genuine one. i assume the camskill ones are genuine jobbies? might order one if they are

also is it a 3 wire or a 4 wire lambda sensor i need.

well mine came out of a subaru bag so i'm sure it was genuine
think you can tell by looking at the wire on it mate

no mate the lambda sensor is on the exhaust down pipe off the turbo.the maf sensor is on the air inlet pipe behind the air filter

Sorry just read the thread again. The MAF and Lambda failures both have very similar symptoms so will watch out for that one as just had the MAF replaced on my Classic recently.

me too fella, hence why im changing the lambda sensor as the car is lumpy.

i remember jase saying it was on its way out anywho when he put on a decat downpipe for us a while back, and the problem of misfire is steadily increasing, so time to act...
