If you're talking the same spec. i.e. Type R V ltd versus RA V ltd, AFAIK they are the same.

Type-RAs started out with extremely manic gearing, but this was raised over the Classic's lifespan. Type-R retained its shorter gearing, with the odd model having a sensible 5th gear...

mine aint sensible its a pita on motorways and dual carriageways......but the b road makes up for it

My 5th gear isnt that great in my type R over 4000 rpm ...... oh well it does whats it says on the tin!! :-)

My type r does 3000 rpm @ 60 mph 4000 rpm @ 70 mph an so on untill 7000 rpm 140 mph, havent been past 7k in 5th, but im guessing 8000 rpm will be 160 mph as its the same all the way through 5th gear.

I think my incriments will be the same as urs phil - I couldnt tell ya past 110mph as thats all mr speedo goes upto then it flys off the clock!! lol
