Default 04 STi - Back for more

Hi guys

Used to have a UK Turbo a few years ago and have just returned to Scooby ownership with a PPP'd 04 STi (See View My Subaru).

One thing I have noticed (apart from the amazing acceleration) is that it sometimes makes a clunk sound when pulling off in 1st, not very loud and it does it under normal driving conditions. Is this anything to worry about?

Secondly, do the midlands lot still do the meets at the Chinese resteraunt on the A5 near nuneaton? The names Neil (Green classic) and Daz (Bugeye 450bhp) spring to mind, they still on here?

Anyway, good to be back.

Default New car.

Excellent choice in car mate. I went from an import classic to a 03 plate sti ppp. Personally i would have bought black as it is the best colour. Not that im biased. Got to be honest though never really noticed a clunk so might be worth checking it out.

It is the rear shocks mate , they are covered by the warranty if you still have one

Has it got dccd? If it does then it's the diff sorting itself out (technical term!!).
If not, probably the newage shocks problem?

Black may look best but Premium Silver is the fastest!

Thanks for that guys. I will take it over and ask them to look at the shocks. Is this a well documented one then?

hi Chod welcome back. Afraid we lost both Neil and Gaz from the ranks. We tend to meet at the Oak at baggington now under SCCE in midlands forum.
