I went to Tenerife for 2 weeks, got back to Gatwick at 5am to find my scooby totally dead Just what you want when all you want is to get home !!

If I leave mine for more than about a week or so it seems to go dead, that's with a new battery too. I've been told certain alarms do drain the battery.

Yes it is.

My STI does it. I have got a trickle charger that i use, if the car is going to be left for an period of time.

Regularly leave my 04 WRX PPP for 3 weeks or more and it always starts without any sign that the battery had even slightly drained.

Had the same problem with my P1. left for even 8 days it would go dead. Can leave it for three weeks now and it starts. it was the tracker not the alarm. phone up tracker and ask them what model you have installed.

Common problem

Just got back of my holiday and first call is the AA to start the car

I must invest in one of those trickle solar chargers

Regularily (once a month) I go abroad on business for 8 days, never has it shown any signs of failing to start, or even cranked slowly, I would suggest if 8 days is that critical the battery is either well past its best or you have a quiescant drain.

When you say 'cat 1 alarms' I presume your talking the Sigma OE fit not another make?

99MY cat1 sigma alarm in a UK Forester S-turbo.

I must invest in one of those trickle solar chargers.

Maplins the other day were selling them for £9.99.

left my WRX for about 3 weeks when i went to USA and it started up first time to. maybe it depends on the state of your battery when you left it
