Hey Guys (oops sorry, AND Gals )

Will be bringing a new WRX into the UK late Feb and as its a Euro Import will only have a 1yr Subaru Warranty. Is that right?

Can you buy the 3yr warranty from Subaru UK / IM ?

Or is there an alternative warranty thats worth buying?

As I plan to keep the car at least 3yrs I want to insure against any expensive repair bills, but dont want a worthless piece of paper for a warranty

Does any one know what the policy is regarding the 1st years Subaru warranty? Do I have to register it for the warranty or something

Sorry for the "boring" questions, prefer the muppet ones myself

After reading lotsa threads I'm non the wiser

Thanx in advance

I was thinking of importing one myself and as you say most imports come with the pan-european warranty which for other manufacturers is pretty solid.

I imported April 2000, so had the same problem April last year.

After loads of enquiries with IM and then direct with the Warranty Company they use, I found they only sell Warranties to IM for new vehicles so no luck there.

I wasn't going to bother, but being in the CSMA found they do a cheap Warranty to members so went for that, unfortunately you have to be in the Civil Service to join.

Others like Motor Warranty direct wanted about £300 a year but not sure on their reliability when you need them.

Anthony Bettes Offers warranties, and offeres to extend mine on my MY01 europe import after the warranty had ran out.

It hasn't ran out yet but when it does I way go and get one!
