Ok, I can't find the car I want in the UK, so I'm exploring the option of importing a car myself from Japan. I'd want to buy a car at auction in Japan and therefore would need a contact in Japan who can get the car for me. I remember about 3 years ago there was an article in 'Car' giving details about importing a supra and an English guy in Japan was detailed who buy the car of your choice in Japan and arrange shipping etc for a small fee.

Does anyone know any good contacts I can chat with so I can decide whether to use a UK importer (probably Ian @ Litchfield) or deal directly with a Jap contact. I would prefer a personal recommendation from someone you have used and would trust etc so I am not giving money to a complete stranger!!

What car are you looking for?
I am currently in Japan and I can just tell you that its heaven, RX7, Supra`s, R33 GTR`s for absolute ridiculous prices and a very low mileage.
Driving around here with my wife I keep turning my head when I see a used car park..

I still have that older issue of CAR but dont have with me here.
