Default Is this a STi or not?

STI SUBARU IMPREZA JDM WAGON 2001IMPORT BLUE on eBay, Subaru, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 200135917957 end time 09-Aug-07 23:55:10 BST)

Is this a blob eye STi Wagon?

I thought they never made one, or is it a bug eye with a new front end?

It's got an STI engine, clocks and seats, and it's an 01 plate which IIRC is the only year they did actually make a newage STI wagon. My money says it's had a facelift, and used to be a bugeye.

Thats a 2001 Bugeye STi Wagon... thats been in a front end crash and rebuilt with MY03 Blobeye Facelift, or for some reason, had a full MY03 Blobeye Facelift done on it?!

Personally, I'd steer well clear no matter what the reason for it.

Cheers,
Grant

Yup....bugeye STi wagon.....rear lenses on blobeyes have the semi circular bit cut out of the bumper.

Take a very good look around the front end for signs of damage or do a bit of digging into the car's history if you really want it

One more thing.....seller has been registered on ebay since 21 May 2003 and has zero feedback.....just be careful m8!

I note the reserve price hasn't been met either so could well end up paying around 9k for it? There's a VERY nice 03 (blobeye) WRX wagon in black with PPP fitted in a garage 5 mins from my house.....up for £9995.....been there for a while now so cash offer would get a bit off that!

Disclaimer.....

(I'm in no way associated with the garage, in fact I don't like the owner very much as he offered me some stupidly low p/ex price for my scooby when I was interested in a car he had there, but it does look nice from what I've seen!)

Hard to say truley what it is, it could be an 01, that has just had the facelift, it needn't have been damaged beforehand.... i say this as the slam panel is as it should be, the dark blue...... i woud've thought that most people rebuilding a damaged one, would simply paint it all the same colour.......

Either way.... use caution!!!

I think the light blue bit on the slam panel is one of those cool-rad things.......Zero Sports do them, but many copies turn up on eBay.

yup, looks to be a bugeye STI with a new front end.

Looks like it's a subaru parts dealer that has it..
