General Question
Morning all,
Just a quick question, what is the little key pad up by my rear view mirror? I am guessing it is for the alarm but I have no codes or documentation as the car had none when I got it, could someone shed some more light on it the car is a T reg 1999 2.0 sport and it has a standard Sigma alarm.
Also can I set the alarm off by using the keyfob?
Many thanks all.
Matt

Yeah you can just hold the button down for a couple of seconds.
The keypad is for certain alarm functions, say if you lose your remote you can use your pin number to turn the alarm off or to carry out certain things like reprogramme new keyfobs.
Or my favourite, with ignition on press number 2 then turn ignition off, get out the car and arm, it should give two alarm tones to say it knows what you want, fantastic for sunny periods as it turns off the ultrasonic sensors so i can leave my windows open, you need to carry it out each time before you turn the car off though.
I'll have a nose in my manual if you want?

I'll post em up later, unless someone else beats me to it as it means fishing for the manual which is buried away
So it bleeped twice when you revved your car, how unsual, it does chirp if you disarm and someone has set it off, the number of chips determines what sensor went off
I take it you have the pin number for the alarm?

I dont have the pin number to enter, what the easiest way to source this? I am guessing its main dealer.
The Merc I drove past was a SLK Iam guessing if you got to close or maybe the vibrations made the car beep to tell people its armed.
Cheers mate.

Best place would be whoever you bought the car from

I sigma dealer might be able to reprogramme a new pin number though, i would advise having one
