Default Cheap but high miles MY06 UK STI - thoughts?

Buy a used SUBARU IMPREZA - Auto Trader UK

Hope the above link works.

The 4th car down is an MY06 UK STI with 25K on the clock up for £15K.

I know thats alot of miles in 12 months but if you didn't do that many miles wold it bother you. Nice car for the price IMO.

Personaly it wouldnt put me off, and if your not going to be doing many miles it will balance itself out over a course of time. Looks nice aswell.

The car's 16 Months old and 25k is hardly high mileage, definately worth a look IMO

What's the best price for a new STi BTW, Motorpoint used to do one for £20k but haven't had them for a while?

Sounds good to me, in fact, im jealous!!

Mine is 15 months old with 20k and has no issues other than brakes. Give it a test drive, check for damage and try to get an idea of the wear on the brakes. Brembo's do last longer than the WRX ones though so im guessing they will be about 50-60% through their life. The only other problem may be tyres, but if they need replacing then it should be done before you buy it.

Sounds really good to me, i would almost certainly be booking a test drive!!

My 06 STi is 9 months old with 26,000 miles on it - don't let it worry you.

25k miles in a year to me means business miles on motorways. 100% better than 10k miles by some kid ragging it around the lanes. dl

It could still be a UK, but those seats would indicate it doesnt have Side Airbags to me.

I have seen Type UK's both with and without at dealer forecourts... also the Key is the same as my 2006 MY05 STi Type UK.. and the alarm is built into the key unit (looks just like a key ring on the key rather than a fob for the alarm.)

Great price though mate, get it checked out and if all comes back good... grab ur bargin. (providing you like the MY06 shape.)

Get it bought mate... I've got a 2.5 STi and absolutely love it, much more of a complete car after the 4 Classics that I had previously.

I'd be thinking the same as David Lock, 25k a year makes me think of an MD battering up and down the M6 which I'd also much rather have than a 10k miles car thats been used in town or spent a lot of time being 'used' to its full potential.

Looks like Crystal Grey too (poor resolution at work here so not 100%), which everyone knows is the fastest and most desireable colour.

Cheers,
Grant

P.S - Careful with the link, it has a Post Code in it and its not always enthusiasts that use the t'internet......

Has the older 'better' style seats as apposed to the fat-burger style you get in the new ones! :P

Are you considering buying this car mate? Mines for sale in the general for sale section, PM me if you are interested, would be willing to negotiate on the price a bit.
