first point - it's not an STI, so if it is an RA it is a WRX RA only
the £8k figure that you were given in an earlier thread would not be all that far out then (probably a little more)
you really need to get the model code from the vin plate to find out what it is. Not sure if the RA should also have a roof vent so it may just be a bog standard WRX in a skirt!

Ditto the above, just looks like a WRX with an aftermarket spoiler (with the original holes still there) and a few bumper pieces.
A quick search on Google for a 2002 STI RA brought up this (note the roof vent)

That spoiler is abysmal. I've seen ancient Cavaliers/Calibras around with those bolted (or stuck) on the back, but who would put one on a Scoob
Looks tidy apart from that, but where's the gear ****?!

A. Fog Lights
B. Front Badge
C. No STI pedals
but more importantly
D. You seem to be missing about 1k revs on the rev counter !!
It's a WRX clearly and like i said due to the lack of a roof vent i don't think it's an RA either
Really need to ask for the model code but at face value it's a reasonably tidy WRX

unless the bugs are different to the classic ra (like my old 555) then i would expect a roof vent..the pedal thing isnt true either as ive seen sti bugs without them also. and the badge as for the fog covers well thats not definitive either....but true about the model code....need that to sort it all out but as its from the boat direct...it is 100% jdm !! not sure about the revs either. lots to learn about newage i think !!

Thats no STi or RA.
Defo JDM as its rear wash wipe.
No decals of STi anywhere, ie Doors,Boot, grille, steering wheel, fog covers, gear surround.
Rubber pedals?????
Looks like a standard WRX interior therfore i beleive that it is a WRX with a shi*e spoiler on it.
Would not touch it myself.

Mate dont want to seem a ar*e here but i have just seen your other thread and replied on this one before seeing the initial thread.
That car is not what you think it is, no where near, Juggers is spot on with his assesment as he imports the things.
That is a bog standard WRX mate and whoever is selling it as a RA is ripping someone off.
I have a feeling you will get a lot more comments later when everyone gets in from work.
Good luck though from a fellow Jock.

thanks for the input....will need to wait till i see the vin details as i have requested them. i buy imported cars from the boat( too many to mention) direct but never before have i bought an imported bug as i havent liked them.....this one is nice and i only got a good look at the body and not the exact details as i only spotted the badge at the last minute....i usually go for classics evo's and skylines ( hence why i bought a spec 2 skyline while i was there) but it was very clean indeed ...but i agree , if its a fake rolex then i will moon walk in the opposite direction !!!

It prob had a aftermarket one on mate and its been removed before it goes on the boat, you find most importers do this as the guys who drive them on and off the ferrys tend to have sticky fingers.
I will tell you now that car will come up as a WRX.No question.

It's a WRX.
Bug RA's have a roof vent. Take a look at the Spec C Type-RA at the link

I wonder if Brembo's fit under them wheels
Sorry hard to find out on the newage JDM's what each letter stands for so guessing a bit
1 MODEL G= Impreza
2 BODY D= Sedan G=wagon
3 ENGINE A= 2.0L WRX B= 2.0 STi
4 year perhaps A=01 B=02 C=03 D=04 E=05 F=06 H=07
5 No doors 4 = 4 door 5 = 5 door
6 SPEC C= WRX D= RA E=STi G= base Comp F=Spec C
7 TRANS D= 5 speed H = 6speed
so assume it would be either RA = GDBB4DH or WRX = GDAB4CD
If anyone knows interpret the Model codes for Newage JDM's I'd love to know
As for price about £5.5-6.5K OTR
IMHO

If somebody pays £8k for that, they will have had their pants well and truly yanked down.
The colour is its only redeeming feature apart from that its a standard JDM WRX worth no more than £5k.
