Prodrive Question for the ECU
Hi,
Is a Prodrive ECU self learning? If it is can it or would there ever be a need for it to be re chipped?
Is the PPP Ecu in the WRX any different to the one in the STI?
I am trying to work out what is different (appart from stronger engine internals) that gives the STI more BHP. Is it just the Turbo?
Car in question is MY53
Thanks

AFAIK the ECU can make timing adjustments for different fuel etc but not major mods so would need remapping for more power.
The WRX and STi ECUs are not interchangable.
There are many other differences between WRX and STi e.g. intercooler, injectors, up pipe etc
