Just got back...quick news:
1 - the new wrx looks way better in the flesh, particularly as in Italy you can get it with a wheels/spoilers/lights (yes, lights) package to match the WRC!!!!!
2 - the focus RS pricing for Italy has been confirmed at ..... UK 19K!!! Me thinks the new performance bargain of the decade.
3 - I've seen a batch of MY00s and MY01s being thrashed around a track by the Subaru Demonstration Team (who are they?) on the wet....awesome display, and with fruity exausts the MY01s where screaming just as much as the MY00s.
4 - I'm now confused as weather to remain with the RS or get back my deposit and go for a MY01 with the Italian WRC kit.

I've driven an MY01 with Prodrive/Sti bodykit and that looked good (detracted from the lights) and went really well.

With the WRC kit, it'd be awesome.

Go for it...Stay with a scoob!
