I know it's been around for a while now but I just love the Puma TV ad with Steve McQueen - great music, style and very cool.

Pity we had Steve Berry in some geeky, anorak promo. I Just think Subaru could have done much better.

Maybe a remake of Mad Max with Mel Gibson in the Aussie wastelands or David Carradine in Death Race 2000 running over old ladies. On second thoughts, maybe not - could give the wrong impression of us scooby owners....

What's really sad though is that this wonderful government of ours is trying to pass legislation that bans car ads that promote speed. The advert they gave as an example was the Ford Puma ad.

All I can say is that it must have been a different ad to the one that I've seen.

Great advert all the same though.

Cool

Come to think of it, Subaru could have done something with the Cannon Ball run or Dukes of Hazard - very cheesy and yet fashionable seeing that 70's is 'in'.

Maybe not, I'll get me coat.

Am I the only one that is slightly concerned by the new Mondeo advert, it shows a queue of cars following the new Mondeo to find out about its something passive safety. The thing is the cars are all following one another somewhat closer than what I would define as safe. If they are trying to clamp down on car adverts which encourage speed, should they not also clamp down on other adverts which encourage driving dangerously?

Subaru could have had the scene from 'The man with the Golden Gun', you know, when James and the fat off duty trooper do the 'flip thing' to get across the river after Scaramanger and the girl.

But I suppose it may encourage all of us to try it as well.

Bang on. The adverts (Ford Galaxy mini-bus)with cars driving around with front fog lights on in 'good' conditions get on my goat as well.

Chris.

How about a scooby add starring Sideways de Banke?

Would probably outrage the curtain-twitchers, but who cares?
