Default Exhaust Note.

Hi All

I have recently purchased a 2.0 sport 1999, it has a 4" back box fitted at the moment but I dont think it has the burble that a normal imprezza has,

What is the best way to make it sound like it really should do???

Cheers all

You need to buy a set of un-equal length headers.

Scooby MAD got a set on his, I think they are Bora that he got from the states

Scoo8y Mad, How much did you pay for your exhaust? is it a complete system or is it just from the cat back?

Cheers mate.

If you want the 'burble' with a small loss of power (versus equal length, not sure against stock iron headers) they are fine, a mate got quite a good note out of his NA by using a non silenced centre section (same as turbo so plenty on fleabay!), not a burble, but certainly sounded distinctive and rorty, he combined that with a stock classic WRX back box.

Hes talking 'headers' or manifolds, so its neither a complete system nor catback, as its precat!

Matt.
Which bit. The borla was £260 (but some members on ISN have paid upto £290). They are S/S, so good quality. You can get the replica borla headers on ebay at about £150 ish...but why buy a replica when you really want a borla.

The H&S cost me £300, but very well worth the price as it is a quality piece of kit.
