Default HELP

Was out in my05 sti just now, when reversing into my parking space at my house the car came to a stop and I had to give it more gas for it to move back. Thought there was something wrong so had a little play in the car park but every time I went into reverse with some lock on I would come to a halt. I started to put the hand brake, didn’t get it to the first click and the car seemed to move like it was jumping in the opposite direction to the lock I had on the steering.

Is this common with the DCCD as I don’t want to go into dealer and kick up a stink for them to say it is the same with all STI’s with DCCD?

Hi,

Was the Dccd in manual or auto mode?

As in manual mode it will lock up one or both wheels. I have always found that you have to put in it auto to reverse with no problems.

Cheers

My wife turned DCCD to manual by mistake & when reversing it made an awful noise & wouldn't budge backwards. I turned it back to Auto & all was fine ...

My wife thought that it was the central locking button ... she did this on the first day of ownership & I nearly had a heart attack!!
