I don't know if I should say or not..
Learning why this happens is like a right of passage for subaru ownership.

Its a common fault. You'll have to remove all of the exterior and interiors bulbs from the car when not in use. With a bit of practice, you can normally do this in less than an hour.

It's not on the topic of lights but speaking about stuff like this reminds me,how many of you have had the problem with the interior boot release not working? now that one will get you.

I had to take my whole interior out including the carpets to trace the boot release wire back to the boot and try and find the fault?
NaaRRRTT
Theres a little lever on the actual boot clasp that you have either pushed up or down(cant remember what way)so all you have to do is push it the opposite way to which it already is.

You know I wondered what that lever on the boot catch was for... so now that's sorted, what's the point of it?
