Default noise coming from ???????

hi i am new to this site and hoping someone can help me please

i have bought a 1993 wrx turbo its done 90,000 miles. i took it on the motorway today and its only seems to make this noise from 3rd to 5th its a whining noise when your sat at a constant speed then when you accelerate its seems to go away abit then if you sit at a different speed its comes back in.its quit a high pitch sound like a metro in reverse.

not sure where its coming from i think more the back than the front.

its not a wheel bearing i know what that sounds like.

anyone any ideas????????

My last car was a 1997 Turbo and it developed a whine at approx 90000m

I had to get a re-con gearbox at a cost of about £450 fitted that sorted it.
