umarked police cars
thought it might be a good idea for us all to warn of what type of unmarked police we have in what areas
YORK AREA
1)black estate T5 2000
2) WR BLUE STI 2005
3) black STI 2006
4) red BMW 3 series 2003

Too many to list them all out of J.41 M1 Wakefield, covering (I guess) Barnsley to Leeds M1 and Ponte to Hudds M62. The main ones I see are...
2x Black Volvo S60
Silver S60
Red S60
Dk. blue (last model) 5 series estate
Dk green Volvo estate (old)
Iveco van (can't remember colour, but v. hard to spot
)
They have loads
Totally the wrong attitude from them IMHO. If you regularly see a marked-up car you tend to behave, and just as that devil on your shoulder tempts you to have a play you usually see another. This way most people simply behave making the roads much safer in general. By hiding as they do, that deterrent isn't there and many succumb to the devil, making the roads unsafe but giving them a chance to enforce some taxation

Round our way the police have just got a brand new fleet of unmarked Trabant`s as they are fed up with the local natives nicking their high powered un marked chase cars.
This is a new tactic by the police around this way, they want villans to look in their rear view mirrors when being chased as the sight of a trabant chasing them will lead to them laughing their bollox off and losing concentration then crashing the car through laughter. End of pursuit, job safely done at low speed.

me mate gaz recons there are a couple of black MY06/MY07 (he says same as my car) scoobs around swansea/port talbot, although i suspect he may mean the infamous unmarked evo's as he hasn't really got a clue abut cars, he drives a renault scenic.
