Default whts the gen on the n/a scoobs?

Right im only 20 so a turbo scoob is out of the question...like £2660 insurance a year! and im not willing to pay that...plus servicing and repairs may be a killer! hehe

whats the gen like on the 2.0 awd sport? Does it feel boaty and slow? Only asking because atm i drive a corsa 1.8 which is rather nippy!

Also without the turbo but with a decent exhaust...does it still have that loud flat 4 burble?

is there a general no no for making the sports have some of the wrx kit? lol as i do love th look of the sti stuff on the scoobs!

thanks

Chaz

sports arent fast but you can still chuck it round corners like theres no tomorrow....

a suspension tuned sport would eat a std wrx on a twisty road....
just dont expect any g-forces

You wont get the same burble as the headers are equal length on the N/A, it will sound more like a beetle or camper van You could always fit a turbo manifold and get someone to make you up a pipe to join it up to the standard system

Think you would be best looking at the handling side of things, i'm no master at that, best ask a few others.

I only say as i saw what i believed to be a WRX infront of me the other day and it looked like it was on stilts! Turned out to be a sport with a big rear spoiler.

Needed lowering badly!!

I had a 99 Sport as a company car a few years ago. The grip they have is very good, especially when compared to a fwd car like a Corsa. However, you'll soon be wanting extra power as they're only about 125bhp as standard and there's not too much you can do to release much more power.

As has been said, a good suspension setup would be nice, and with the grip you'll have it travelling quickly out of bends.

Good fun in the wet IIRC.

.......... just don't expect to leave everyone behind once over 30mph!

sorry but the sport would have to be towed by the wrx to keep up

best bet is to go drive one first, then make up your mind...good luck

Don't do it! Better off getting a hot hatch at your age mate in insurance terms anyway.

Don't bother with a sport, there's better cars out there for less money. I thought about going down the Impreza sport route a few years ago, thank christ i never bothered, went for a Pug 205 Gti 1.9 intead. It was the missus who said if we can't afford the turbo lets not bother, and she knows f@ck all about motors.

Absolutely, when I was 19 I had a 106 GTI which I loved.
Sure something along those lines would be more fun than a Impreza Sport.
