Will classics become "classics" ?
More specifically, do you guys reckon that the remaining unblemished RB5s and P1s will be worth significant amounts of money in ten or twenty years time ?

They will indeed.
BUT, the single most important thing a Classic Car has to be is ORIGINAL!
Modified, Polished Turds will not be considered much higher than the junk.
The un-modified models will be the ones everyone will be seeking ..... more so in the case of the Impreza - which suffers more than most cars in it's attraction for people who cannot leave things be

I think there will come a time when there are very few nice ones left (modified or not) and values will correspond - but I doubt they will ever see silly money.
Anyone seen how much an old Mini can be worth nowadays?!

They will surely be worth a fair bit in original unmodified (or small contemporary modifactions) once they get to about 20 years old, think Cortina MkII 1600E, worth about 3 times what even a good GT is worth (so why did my Old man sell his well easy, in 1974 it was worth much less than it is now!)

Like most Museums (of all kinds) Haynes probably have more 'artifacts' than they can display (I know BMIHT at Gaydon can only display about 1/4) so it all depends on what is on rotation!
