If you uprate the rear ARB then understeer is always worse. You should uprate the front aswell. ALso try anti lift kit and a geometry set up

That'll be in direct contradiction to 98% of us on here then....

Yes agreed, I agree that the rear ARB does improve understeer but fitting the front makes the car more direct, which is what I should have put.
I still think that both bars should be uprated as this really changes the cars point and go appeal.

..anyhow..

I did think the OP said Understeer first rather than Oversteer... my mistake.

I'd make the observation that I think many here would say 19"'s are bordering on being too large for an Impreza - but you've got to expect a change in handling when you go from 19" to 17"..

Try changing your tyre pressures first, if they are too low (i think) then you get increased understeer.

Agree with Tony.
The wheels are the same rolling diameter? 17s with not quite so low profile tyres as the 19s I take it. It sounds like its the pressures that are making it handle differently
If it is a classic it should handle better on 17s anyway.

Wayno in his only post says he has understeer, my suspicions would be tyre pressures or something on the tyres (from storage)...

to be clear. He says understeer in the title, and oversteer in the post itself.

Best to clear this up before giving the poor guy any more advice as we don't know which problem he has yet
