I cleaned my tft monitor this morning with a proper screen wipe and then when I looked at the screen again it had what looked as if someone had put a greeny/yellow selafane over it and I can't get it to go away!!!

I have played with all the settings on the monitor etc, any ideas please???

Loose wire? The ones at work often go pink or blue when the wire is bent in a funny way. Disconnect it, straighten it out and put it back in. That's what i'd try anyway.

To be more specific (pedantic maybe) it is likely to be a bent pin within the connector to the monitor.

Fine nose pliers should work.

Er,isn't he actually just saying he wiped the screen - doesn't sound to me like he went anywhere near any plugs.

dont use screen wipes there crap get some good glass cleaner and wipe with paper towel job done

That's what all the kids say at work too when it happens to them!

You don't have to move it much to bend the wire, i'd still try that first.
