Naah I saw some WRX/STI pictures of it today in my local Subaru Dealers and they had a pictures with WR Blue and gold wheels it looked horrible...
It’s not a saloon anymore just another hot hatch to take on all those other nasty wee hatchies out there.
The dealer reckoned it was just like the Seat, whoppeee start saving then, I dont think so

IIRC now it's a different story uK sales plummited in 2005-2006 IIRC
2005-2006 Total Subaru Cars sales for EU was about 62K unit's comparing with the USA with 42K units for the Impreza alone and a total of Subaru 200K units. ( US are fairly accurate and docummented but EU fiqures were a bit harder to find)
IIRC AFAICR

Because some time ago "We" were one of the biggest market and may have had clout

People don't want facts! They just want to complain that Subaru are trying to sell more cars! (Odd that..)
For what its worth, after some consideration, reading the Evo review, looking at more pictures.. I'm starting to think that the new Impreza isn't half bad.

TBF It'll most likely be a cracking real world performance car: A new age WRX tuned to 300bhp makes for a very civilised, comfortable, high responsive and seriously quick car.
Quite why we have to import the new one is another issue!
If you're buying a car based on build quality/prestige/running costs and all the stuff that makes for a plain old runaround, and you have to choose between a Scooby and a Golf, you pick the Golf. Obviously.
If you want a performance car, you pick the Scooby. Obviously. So quite why Subaru UK are tackling VW on their strength and not exploiting their own reputation is beyond me.
Equally beyond me is why they've made it so fugly!
