I HAVE A 99 WRX WITH ONLY 18000 MILES ON THE CLOCK
IF I DRIVE THE CAR STEADY IT WILL RUN PERFECT.
IF I DRIVE THE CAR HARD AT AROUNG 5000 RPM THE ENGINE WILL MISS
A BEAT ONCE AND THEN CONTINUE ROUND TO 7000RPM
THIS HAPPENS IN 3RD 4TH AND FIFTH.
I HAVE CHANGED THE PLUGS BUT THE PROBLEM REMAINS.

I think your caps-lock is the problem.

 

You could try an ECU reset by disconnecting the battery for about an hour. A (minute) possibility is a faulty wastegate solenoid.

Paul, what we also need to know is what fuel you run your car on, ie super unleaded, unleaded, optimax etc, also any modifications to your car? last service etc as you probably know that scoobs like services 2 times a year or 7.5k which ever comes first (normally in my case the 2 times a year).

The car is runninig on super unleaded, mods are downpipe, backbox and ITG panel filter, the car was serviced at 15000 miles and will be serviced at 22500.
Any ideas will be appreciated
