Default Does a HPi reveal accident claims?

What's the score with HPi checks - will they show any accidents as a result of an insurance claim? - This is not very clear when reading the HPi website.

No - it will only reveal write-offs. If the car wasn't written off, just repaired and used again, then HPI etc checks don't show this.

Ahh, thought so - why don't HPi make this clear?

What process will capture accidents recorded against insurance companies?

Not quite true of course, HPI will show the damaged cataegory, cat D is I think beyond economical repair but no structural damage...

It doesn't show all repairs though.

It would be pointless if it showed all claims, it would show windscreen damage, mirrors that have been smashed off etc. etc...

If the work has been carried out to an insurance repair standard a car is fine.. You want to worry more about work for damage that was never claimed for and done on the cheap
