Another attempted scooby theft
Well, went out to work on Wed and the next thing my bro is on the phone, house has been broken into and Dad beaten up. It seems my father who lives with us was asleep upstairs and 3 blokes had jumped onto the scoobs bonnet and jumped a 6 foot fence into the back garden and thrown a piece of flag through the patio doors. He heard the smash and came down thinking it was the kids playing football on the front and had put a football through the front window. Next thing 2 blokes have got hold of him and a 3rd gives him a good hiding shouting where's the f*****g keys. Dad told they he hadn't a clue where the keys were but they just hit him again.
The car hasn't moved for a couple of weeks and the keys were still at my brothers as we have been doing a few little bits at his house ready to get rid of the car.
Some how Dad managed to open the front door and shout for help and they gave him another belt and were off out the same way they came in, threatening the next door neighbour who seen them getting into a stolen car. They were going through the kitchen cupboards when he came down and we think they hadn't realised he was in.
My father who is 75 years old is now shaken, and bruised with a busted nose and black eye to match. They wasn't interested in anything else just the car.
All security on the house is now being updated and there won't be another performance car on the drive again. My 02 Impreza WRX wagon which I loved to bits has now been sold back to the dealer. Lost alot of money on it but nowts worth that s**t.
Take care people.

Very to sorry to here the sorry tail, firstly I think I can say from all here to wish your dad the best.
As you say, no car is worth that really, not that you should have to put up with that sort of ****e.
I just wish I had some confidence that the Police would catch them, and if they are caught they actually got what they deserved, sadly history would suggest otherwise.

This is what happens when the government is so influenced by tree hugging sandal wearing hippies people no longer have the ability or right to defend them selves in their own homes so thieves just don't care..
You do something like that somewhere in the rest of Europe (especially Switzerland where it is mandatory for a man to have weapons training and own a gun) you'll get SHOT!

Sorry to hear about this... hope ur dad gets well soon.
If a Govenment ever wanted to win my vote, bring in capital punishment for scroates like this and all the other worthless pieces of crap we have roaming our streets today.
It would only take a few executions for the rest to think twice before they done this kinda thing... because i think alot of crime is comiitted by people who know the current system cant touch them.

EXACTLTY !!!!!
Personally, I think it would be worst if everyone had guns....... BUT I do believe that if someone breaks into your house and you beat them to within an inch of their lives..... then all's fair.

Scumbags
why on earth do we have to give up stuff we have worked hard for so scumbags like this can come along and steal.....................This country is getting as bad as the USA.......................
Mandatory life sentence for any crime against person or property............build more jails and make them harsher regimes - no tele's etc...............let them rot

Really sorry to hear about this - hope your dad makes a full recovery all OK. Seems to be very common at the moment.
I appreciate you don't want to give too much away but what area was this?
Thanks
Ian

Mate - that's dreadful - Hope your dad gets better soon. I keep my car with my parents as I live in London, and would hate that to happen to them. You should write to your MP to get them to start taking this seriously and start handing out severe penalties for those (yeah right....) who get caught.

Sorry to hear this, hope all returns to normal soon.
mmm, I've been looking into taking up clay shooting, this sort of thing just spurs me on a little quicker.
If someone did that to my family they wouldn't make it off the drive alive!!!!
