Steam from engine bay!!
I drove home from work today which is only a 10min drive and when i pulled into my drive there was steam coming from the bonnet!
Opened the bonnet and it seems to be coming from the radiator
We have had torrential rain today...could it just be the rain water hitting the hot engine which is causing this?

maybe, but i would check all the pipes, and when your engines cooled down, check the water resevior. could be a leaking hose/pipe etc.
happened to me one night going to work. got there, cooled the engine for a min, then noticed steam from the drivers side vent. up went the bonnet, and whoosh, loads of steam. noticed a pin sized hole in the hose connecting to the drivers side top radiator hose.
cheap enough to swap, went to scoobybits, and was a two min jobby. had a 1 inch slice inside though good job i drove steady with some electricians tape over and round the hose.
another quicky... if theres any loose water, just taste it quickly, see if it tastes tangy. thats what water coolant tastes of, pretty quick explanation. if it doesnt, its the rain, or your car needs coolant quickly!!

Also, the end tanks on the radiator are known to crack, happened to me.
Pic of mine;
Cost is around £100 for a new one, and not very hard to fit.
Hope this helps

Have you driven through any floodwater at all? This happened to me last week. It was like a sauna under my bonnet when I drove the car the next day. There turned out to be water held on the undertray of the engine.
