Anybody got any rocking horse s***?
I'm after a spoilerless/hole-less boot lid for my classic but can't find one. Has anyone got any ideas where to find one please?
Alternatively i will remove the spoiler (STI6) from my existing one, weld up the holes and get it sprayed. How much am i looking at for this would you say?
TIA
Andy.

GX is the bugeye onwards shape
best bet would be to go for a 1.6 or 1.8 GL bootlid, I think the 2.0GL's and as stated definately the sports all came fitted with spoilers.

I tried Grade A last time i was there and he did that sucking air in through the teeth thing that builders do. As it says above, rocking-horse****.

BTTT for an old thread. I'm still looking for one as the body shop said "i'll do it but i don't really want to" (refering to welding holes up). Yeah, cheers mate fills me full of confidence.
1. Anybody got an elusive no-holes boot lid?
2. Do the stealers sell 'em with no holes?
3. How much should i expect to sell an STI6 (reproduction) spoiler for
Ta

Fibreglass and filler is no way to do the job....
Over time it will shrink back and the holes will show up...
We have welded a few up, and it is quite tricky to do without distorting the boot lid.
If the boot lid has holes accross the centre (ie, for an STi 6 style spoiler) forget it.
You need to start off with one which has holes ONLY near the sides...
To get the job done properly, be looking to pay around £250-£300...

I filled holes in my Sierra when I changed the rear spoiler, pinged them in with a hammer, glassed over the back and a decent flxible filler on the front, 4 years later I have no cracks.
Did you try your local breakers through the AT, I have a recent Midlands one I can look in if you want me to, or I can do the job for you - and charge you for the pleasure! Where are you Andy as your location isn't too helpful!

Rookie i'm by Liverpool. I'm still a bit undecided at the mo but i think i might take the spoiler off and sell it and just duct tape the holes until i have the money (from the spoiler) then put it in the body shop.
