I think people only talk about versions when referring to classic STI's.

If yours is a MY00 Turbo 2000 the version type doesnt really apply.

Ah but you can have a MY00 version 6.... but generally if it's a UK car then they don't call the v5 or v6....

your right

IIRC some UK MY99's were "Ver 5" some were "V6" and nearly all MY00 were "V6" .

V6 was classed as a "Facelift model" as mostly all changes were cosmetic . V6's had Different front bumper, white clock dials and different odometer.

IIRC as memory is a bit poor lately

Ahh I see.

I always thought it was STI specific, kinda like STI specific part types and setup etc.

Its mad how many different types of classic impreza there are! Cool.

The version thing only applies to JDM cars. Not uk.

V5's had white dials bumper different too ( Jap Sti's ). MY00 was same as MY99 but with some colour coding and a different ECU for emissions purposes ( talking about UK only ) MY99 having the best ECU as it ran better than a MY00 which hesitated a bit.
