STI Front lip spoiler
Hi,
I've been quoted £450 by a subaru dealer to supply and fit a genuine STI front lip spoiler to my 06 STI. Does this seem a bit steep or am I being a tight wad? I was thinking in the £200 - £250 mark before I got the quote.
Cheers,
Michael

Greetings fellow spec D owner.
From what I have read , you can do it easily enough yourself and the ones I had my eye on were nowhere near that figure. Apart from being genuine plastic I would look for something cheaper. Lip and lower grille combo from revolution is £225, or the lip on its own £140.

£145 with the logo... not bad. I may give Revolution a call and see if they can supply the logo at an extra cost (i.e. less than £145 in total). They are local so could probably fit it for me too - I'm useless with cars myself.
We can certainly supply and fit the STi style front lip for you.
The lip comes with a Revolution logo on but we have a wide variety of STi badges and stickers available.
Give us a call or pop in.

I`ve got the genuine STI splitter on my 05 STI and although its more expensive than the replicas, 4/5 people I know that got the 'cheaper' ones have cracked or damaged them without too much force. Also I fitted mine easily in 30 mins. With a SIDC discount mine was around £300 not cheap but still in 1 piece 18 months later.
Well, I went for Revolution. Seemed like a canny bloke on the phone and fitted me in last minute, which was good of him.
So spoiler in the morning and I'm fitting some mud flaps in the afternoon. That will do me for the styling and have the engine to start tweaking next. I fancy the PPP without having to put the silencer on as I like my exhaust as is... but that's something for later in the summer.

You got any pics matey?

Well, got the work done and pics are uploaded (taken on my phone so not the greatest quality). Glad I found Revolution as they were all friendly enough
Couple of things I need to sort...
1. The spoiler does not have an STI logo as the logos at Revolution were not to my taste. If anyone has an original looking STI logo for the lip and wants to sell it let me know. I see what you meant by the material being quite soft. I accidently knocked it (very lightly) with a spanner and I have a crack already - my bag. I'll give it a few months and if it is looking worn I'll upgrade it.
2. The mud flaps are on (what a job those front ones are!) but there was not enough clips with the fittings, so I have left a message with scoobyworld to send me some more out... hopefully won't be a problem. They are on but need to be secured up a bit. Again I want some prodrive stickers this time so if anyone is selling them...

Yeah, I just had something particular in mind. I'm starting to warm to it badgeless now I must admit.
I've contacted the company in the first link to see if they can sort me out with some stickers for my mud flaps. So ta for that.
