Yes he was running a Escort Cosworth converted to 2wd approx 210 bhp.
He had spread new stone across the special stage so felt like driving on marbles when we had a go in the Scooby.
He drove flat out it was unbelievable, esp sticking a wheel over the edge for that bit of extra cut on a bend on a sheer drop.
Top guy too and also all his support team

Scooby and Escorts all on gas.
Was very impressed.
Even got a leaflet!!
Would be a crime to put my P1 on gas but could be tempted to get a Forrester in the future, a gas conversion would be good.
Would love to know how many Scoobies run on gas, he rates it very highly, but there again he is a saleman.
Anybody out there a LPG Scoobie?
He had a custermer on Rally School turn up in a Bentley Turbo some time ago.
Apparently after much persuasion by the owner Phil took it round the Rally Stage with full attack!!!
Would love to have seen it.
Any stone chips etc were not a problem to the owner of the car!!
PS Great roads around the area as well.
Makes the Bucks back roads seem a bit boring!!

I was there a few weeks ago ... what a great day. Have my winner's plaque too ... but winning that wasn't as good as the look on the rally driver's face who was 'brushing up his skills' and who I beat into second place

The timed section really focuses the mind, i was 3rd I think but shared with a few others.
I think a way of showing most improved driver would be a good system, as some were quite good on first few laps and had done it before , but the emphasis in my view is fun and some took it too seriously towards the end.
