Default Need quick answer to a dawes question.

My Dawes Device arrived today and I need to know if there is a bleed hole on either side of the device. I've just drilled the hole out to 1.5mm as recomended on here and the drill bit has gone right through the device and out the other side very easily and I can't remember if there was a hole there to begin with.
If someone could give me an answer before I go and fit it to the car that would be great.

Cheers

If it is only a matter of drilling right through the thing by mistake then why no plug the hole with a self tapping screw? Or tap the offending hole and fit a grub screw in the hole......

who would sell a screw that small? There's also not a lot of depth inside the valve before a screw would block the other side if this makes sense?

Well the insulation tape melted in the end Felt quite nippy before it hit fuel cut!!
I've spoken to Darren Dawes who has offered to send me over a new part for free as long as I cover the $5 postage!! Top Man!!
I tried to solder the hole today but it wasn't wanting to stick at all. In the end I've managed to sort it with....

wait for it...

A drawing pin and a zip tie. Drawing pin pushes very tightly in to the hole and zip tie stops it from vibrating out. Doesn't look great but hey it works till the new part turns up. Just wish I could post a picture of the bodge, it's quality!!
