Default Possible car scam, what you think

A mate in work was looking for a wrx for weekend use so used autotrader for a look,This is what he found-- 2005 wrx 32,000 miles, Blue. 3x3 point rear seat belts, ABS, Air conditioning, Alarm, Alloy wheels, Body coloured bumpers. The engine is standard apart form a Baileys dump Valve. I have a Magnex stainless steal exhaust, from mid section back. With a 5inch slash cut back box. The wheels are 18inch P-FF7 Prodrive in bright flitter with Bridgestone tyers which are virtually brand new. I have also had Prodrive spring kit fitted and a STI rear spoiler. The Car is in immaculate condition and a real head turner. The reason for selling is that I want to put a deposite down on a house due to job relocation abroad, I have now the company car. The price is £8000.

I told him it must be a misprint or something so he phoned and the phone was disconnected. So an email was sent and the seller replied with this email

I'm sorry for my late reply, i was off computer few days busy with job relocation, the car is still for sale and i'm trying to sell it as low as i can to close deal fast.I'm in croatia and the car is shipped from here by the shipping company warehouse in uk. its a uk car with full uk specs (right hand drive). It runs perfect and there are no mechanical problems, there is no finance, never been crashed. You will receive the original invoice the log book all the keys and the registration documents to transfer the car in your name. You will have 5 days to inspect the car and if its not as i have described you will get a full refund upon the return of the car ( return shipping at my expense). The deal will run as usual only through ebay motors uk transactions ( not in person because i am very busy) so we can both 100% protected they will keep the money until you get the car. The shipping will take about 7 days that depends were you are located in uk only. The final price is £8000 and includes shipping to your home.

sorry for the long post but what you think?

The real question is why do you want a wrx as a weekend car. They arent exactly fast or lairy. Money better spent elsewhere
