Depends what you want out of the car but sounds like you have a lot of restrictions still.

TMIC - Heat soak prolems

Filter need to be shielded and I have opened the vent above it to try and help with cold air flow.

2.5" downpipe and both cats will choke it up as well.

Thanks. Its only got one cat and the its a green panel filter in the original box so heatsoak is not a problem, although my vent is open too. Its just my daily driver, I dont want it to kill it off by fitting something I shouldnt without supporting mods.

A top mount front mounted intercooler!!???? A standard top mount with Samco's will be ok, go beyond 300BHP and then start thinking about a newer top mount (V5 or newage Sti), beyond 360BHP then a decent front mount IC would be good.
