Lads . .Lads . .
I'm not exactly sure what this thread is about, but would just like to politely point out . . .
. . . . . Anyone who drives a German car (but especially BMW and Mercedes) is a ******! . . .

It makes far more logic than trying make up new words to call cars.
Take the Nissan Qashqai as a prime example. I had to google that to actually get the right spelling
And what will Vauxhall/Opel do when they run out of words that end with the letter A? (anyway, they f**ked it up with the Monaro and Signum...feejits )

Probably feels he doesn't have to because he drives a Subaru and they are the best thing since sliced bread
Since leaving Subaru ownership i have realised theres a lot more out there without all the hassle and expense.
Nik.
ps. in the past i have owned three Golfs (mk3 gti, mk4 gti turbo & mk4 v6 4motion) and found them to be very well built and reliable cars as is my current S3.

The porsche 911 was originally going to be called the 901, but peugeot put a stop to that as they copywrited the 'O' as the middle number (or letter as you pronounce it as Ohhh).
So the french do it, Oh and the Japanese - Mada 323, Oh and the italians - Ferrari etc etc
It does stop manufacturers coming up with names like 'Charon' tho !
On the other hand it does mean that the same model in different countries are often need a different name
MR2 in french anyone ?
