Question

Hi,

Having recieved the latest copy of the Demon Tweaks Motorsport catalogue I've found some rev limiters.

Has anyone had any experience with them?

My interest stems from a 'safety' point of view as well as security.

i.e. Is it feasable to set the rev limiter to, say 2000rpm, when getting out of the car?

How straightforward are they to fit?

ta,
Matt

Matt,

I've used the MicroDynamics rev limiter on my GT4 as a crude launch control device. Was fun and worked well, giving about 6 psi of boost standing still.

Yes, no reason why you couldn't hook one up with an arm/disarm hidden switch. Set the rev limiter to it's lowest setting, the one I had was 3000rpm.

Very easy to fit to the GT4 as it was an earth, and one wire to either side of the coil.

I think it may be a bit more difficult on Scoobies that have twin coil packs etc. but not too hard/seek advice from makers.

Cheers

Ian
