front mounted intercooler + Dump Valve !
ok so i have a 95 wrx wagon its an import its done 55.000 miles i converted it to mph from kph myself ,its had a full belt change and a full fluid change ,the car is in amazing condition and drives like a dream ,the 2 mods id love to do are a front mounted intercooler <------first,and a dump valve.....id like to know if these are good mods or wether someone would recommend something else ?and is it worth fitting a dump valve to my wagon as its automatic im not after the pshhhhh im after the benefit of the reduced lag and prolonged turbo life ,also is it worth taking it to scooby clinic and having it checked out ? just to make sure its good

When fitting an FMIC you dont have much choice but fit an after-market air bypass valve, but Id be looking for a recirculating one, similar to the OEM part, if I were you.

If you wanted to you could fit an FMIC and a replacement air bypass valve, yes. An automatic might not be everybody's first choice though.....

Why would you want to fit a FMIC as the first mod?
Sure, a 95 IC is not good for high speeds etc, but on a standard car should be fine.
Plus you'd need a remap to really gain benefit from the FMIC.
