Front Diff Gone. Options?
A mate has just had his front diff go on a long journey away from home.
He has a W Reg UK Turbo 2000 with prodrive kit. It is probably worth about 5K.
How much roughly would this cost to get the diff fixed/replaced?
What sort of money would be get from breaking the car?
Does he have any other options?
Thanks
Chris.

He basicalkly just needs a second hand box replaced in there.
Putting a second hand diff in his original box will cost more in labour than another box.
£350 should get you sorted. More if he decides to get the clutch replaced (To save the same fitting costs later) while it is off.

How about a part-ex.
Would many Dealers take a car in that condition as part ex on an STI for example, or would he have to shell out to get it fixed first?
