Did a "post-mortem" on my blown gearbox! (pictures)
3 years ago, I blew the gearbox on my UK turbo.
Tonight I was clearing out the garage, and decide to disect the wreckage!
Bits of gear-teeth everywhere!

No, it was a standard 215bhp 1999T reg, with a Revolution exhaust and downpipe, and that was it!
Hence I was very surprised......no, that's not the word.....GUTTED is the word!
Cost me £550 for a second hand box and about another £150 for fitting!

Well you never know....you've got to cater for the muppets!!
Yes, this was 3rd gear that went on mine too. It went sort of buzzy, and so I knew something was wrong, so I missed out 3rd gear in an attempt to get home but even missing it out didn't help, it made a serious bang and left me stranded on the Kilmarnock by-pass!!!
