How old is the car? Have you had the aircon cleaned out recently? I've heard of mould growing in the drain holes and giving a foul smell.

I just sprayed some anti dust stuff that I use down the vents to make it smell nice. This only lasts a day or two though. I've also tried using comma's air condtitioner cleaner, that u run through your air condtioning system. This worked ok for a couple of weeks but I've stopped using it now at £12 per time.

there must be a pollen filter fitted that might need replacement or may just need to clean out leaves form the air intake under the wipers possable.

The bad smell that you usally get from the air con is usually a bacteria build up from guess what.................... body odour, im not saying that you stink or anything like that.

Change the pollen filter and run an air con disinfectent through the system, although you may need to do it a few times.

It's good to run the air con for at least 10 minutes every month to help keep it in good order

The thing round here which gets into the air con at this time of year is the pollen from the rape fields... that lingers for ages and really hums
