97,000 miles is not high mileage for a 13 year old car. If properly maintained etc, there's no reason the car can't keep going past 150,000 miles. There's a chance it will break something expensive, but you're better chances of reliability with a scoob of that age/mileage than many other cars. Things breaking is always a possibility with any car of that age, regardless of mileage or model. Just don't expect great fuel consumption, low insurance costs, low running costs etc - the car may be fairly cheap to buy, but it will still cost a lot more to run than a Micra or whatever!

For future posts - the "Caps Locks" key is on the left hand side of the keyboard, please turn it off.

Finally, welcome to the forum.

I know the runnig cost will go up im using a celica at the moment so i know what to expect and a know a quicker means more expense i use the car everyday for work doing 40 miles a day, would be right in looking at about 25 to the gallon or would it be less,im not to heavy on the pedal.
thanks for the welcome.

That mileage is good for a 12/13 year old car.

Bought my 1st Impreza (MY94) with 103k and FSH back in 2003 and it was a great entry in to the world of Subaru.

25 to the gallon is probably do-able if you drive gently on the commute. I get somewhere around that on my scoob on a 7 mile commute (admittedly mine is a 2002WRX, tuned a bit)
