Default Picked up my turbo 2000 :pics:

Hi all,

finally I've got the car I wanted, picked up my turbo 2000 today and i'm very happy with it.

It's quite subtle with the mods, sounds nice but not too loud and drives very well.

One question I do have, which I've noticed from driving it today is:

When I drive really slow and turn the wheel it 'judders' - is this normal (I assume it's something to do with the power steering)

Also, I noticed a loud 'pop' from the exhaust when I blipped the throttle at standstill (it has decat full system and backbox with baffle)

Hope you like the pics guys

Nice car - MicaPink isn't it?

"When I drive really slow and turn the wheel it 'judders' - is this normal?"

NO it is NOT normal - get it checked out by the Dealer you bought it off.

I bought it privately; anyone know what this could be?

Cheers

Nice looking car mate.

Regarding the steering judder, have you checked the PAS fluid level?

The judder is certainly not normal. Id get that checked out.

As for the 'pop' from the exhaust, i wouldnt worry about it. Mine does it, i think its just excess fuel igniting in the exhaust system.

is it the steering that judders,as it could be the clutch which is common when setting off slow.

Just realized the reason why it was juddering was because i wasn't putting enough gas on!

Worry over

Loving the car though

No it's not that as the whole exhaust is only a few months old; could well of been though - thanks

Did the owner fit the system himself as he might of not put the gasgets between each section and this could act as a hole ?

All after market exhausts will pop like that from time to time on the over run. My old 106 used to do it a lot, and my scooby does it when driven hard.

Yeah I noticed that too. Maybe its had a little bit of paint in the past, or worst still a bit of a repair job.

I hope you checked it out properly, get the boot liner all out and so on??? Not that I want to worry you or nothing. Might explain the steering judder too, if it's had a bad repair and could be twisted.

I'm sure it's something less sinster

Not if it's wasn't regisitered. Could have been repaired without going through the insurance companies. Only joking.

Love the colour, I was going to get my in that colour or silver. A silver one came up first. Have I made th right choice???

I have had some judder through my steering wheel at low speeds (<5mph), it went away when I turned my aircon off. Its only done it once, and it was straight after start up on a hot day...
