PIPELINE CARD CHEAP PETRO: FOR ALL
What ever happened to this chap Ben & his promise of a Fuel Card that could get you a Zilion £ discount off Petrol, if you joined the FREE Scheme??
I have E Mailed him, I now get no response.
Any One heard anything or, any news in general about this//

The way I always saw it, and from the start, I always said all he was doing was creating the UK's biggest mailing list for people to start getting spammed.
The privicy clause was utter ****e, and it was ALWAYS going to suddenly turn commercial with stuff going on sale etc.
At the end of the day, the most likely way of ANYONE sorting out such a discount scheme would be (as I have always maintained) someone like Barclaycard agreeing a discount with Shell for people using Barclaycard as payment. That would create one of the UK's largest singled headed fuel account with a national provider, bill settled on a 28 day basis as part of your credit limit, and with a guarentor like no other.
For an individual to enter a discussion with such a major company, and the company insisting on complete secrecy! For god sakes, it would create instant brand loyalty if ANY fuel supplier hinted that they were entering negotiations with someone to offer a discount.
Utter tripe all along, and sadly suckered a lot of people into signing up to something that was just gonna buy Ben Scammer
his 5 mins of fame.

Any retailer wanting to target a 100% motoring audiance. Given the price of automotive upgrades and gizmo's the return is almost guarenteed. I would think the figure was more like about 10p per address on the list.
