Default Advice on buying the UK Please

Hi guys

As per the title really, i am looking into buying a car in the UK and bringing her back to Ireland, mainly due to the fact that there is a much better variety in the UK and a lot tidier examples to be found overseas.

My main question is what paperwork etc is needed when exporting a car from the UK, do i keep the whole lot of the V5 or does the seller retain part of it? Also are the AA about the best for carrying out checks on a car or would i be better trying to source a specialist near enough near the car i am looking at?

Is there anything in particular i should look for when buying a UK car, obviously i will have to get her remapped to run on our petrol over here (95RON), full service history if possible but are UK cars under sealed etc?

Thanks in advance
Ian
