Who's taking their Scoob to Europe to ski this season?

I'm planning to head towards Verbier for New Year.
Two years ago I did it in a Fiat Barchetta which was a lot of fun but v.tiring sitting at 100-110mph for hours on the peage.
Although I didn't bother last time and got away with it, you really need chains as apart from being nigh on essential when conditions are bad, if you are caught without them, you can be fined.
The Scoob should be a dream by comparison but as I've read that the French have recently tightened up on foreign speeders, it might be worth routing via Germany for as much as possible.
Sadly even living in London, it's not a cheap option though. Even with cheaper continental petrol, mpg is low at 100+ and the cost of French tolls, fines*, Swiss motorway vignettes and a set of chains mean that it's almost certainly cheaper to fly unless you are 3 or four up in the car.
I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has removed the ABS fuse to disable it in snowy conditions.

*Nb. a friend who was in convoy with me got stopped doing 131mph and was hit with an on-the-spot £500 fine which he eventually managed to negotiate down by 50%!
