Found out on Saturday morning that my garage had been broken into.

Fortunately the scoob was still there but my mountain bike's been nicked.

Unfortunately the mindless scrots have scratched virtually every panel down one side getting it past.

So, I've secured the garage and SOCO have taken a blood sample on the door. He told me 20 garages a night are being turned over in Welwyn Garden City- by an organised gang they think.

The bike is a Kona Mini Mula from 1995, with an unusual gold frame.

If anyone has a pic of one I'd be obliged as the Police want it for their notice board.

Bad luck mate ... had a bike nicked from the garage a few years ago. It should be covered by your house contents insurance though.

Pic as requested:

Hope you get it all sorted soon.

Chaps thanks for your kind words.

Simon, much appreciate the pic- unfortunately it's the new model.

I think I may run is through PSP to make it look a bit more like the '95 version.

Exclamation

When I bought an expensive-ish Mountain Bike a couple of years ago (Specialized) I checked with the house insurance and had to add it on specifically, and our contents insurance quote nearly flippin doubled....somethink like £50ish more, just to add a pedal cycle on the contents..... apparently so many get nicked the insurance is high....where have we heard that before!!!

I think insurance companies should get strung up by thier danglies as well. Sorry RUM* !!!
