Default Tyre valve leaking

While moving one of my wheels around earlier today I accidentally caught the valve with my knee and must have dislodged it as air started to escape. I pushed at it and it stopped, although if any pressure is put on it air again leaks out.
Can this be repaired either by myself or a tyre place?

Cheers
Nick

Personally I would take it to a garage where they will pop the bead of the tyre and replace the whole valve. Better safe than sorry especially in a performance motor.
