£50 It's not a cherished number as such and so holds no value, unless you're 55 years old and your initials are SRT...
I can see what you're implying it might say if the S was a 5 and all that malarky, but from memory it would only be S1-20 that were classed by the DVLA as cherished... S55 is just a standard plate like S56 or S847 or S426 etc...

S555 TRS £189 on DVLA website suprised at how much to be honest but a fair reflection of what you should be paying... HTH...

It gains value due to SRT been used on various works cars since 1999. It's quite a good number, I would probably value it at £250 -£500.
As with all these type of plates they are only worth the premium to somebody who knows what the association is.

So just as well to consider if you are prepared to leave it on the car if you dont buy another Scooby.
