I need a new idle control valve, according to my Subaru main garage. The trouble is, they say it will be over £250 !!! Any ideas where I can source a new one? I have an MY97 STI 3. Plus, can anyone tell me if all the idle control valves are the same or do I need one specific to the MY97 STI.

 

have you tried cleaning out your old one with some carb cleaner?

I'm looking for a MY98 Sti one, and have been advised that that one is different. You need one from the same age car - so a MY97 Sti for you.

Try Grade-A, they say about £35 (+VAT?) if they have one in stock.
