no more turbo models according to the press so we'll most likely see upwards of 240 bhp at best. Seems info is hit and miss as the specs above state a turbo so I'll wait till it arrives before passing my judgement

..but subiesport says the saloon is exclusivly for the US market And I don't think the Saloon is bad at all. I'd buy the Saloon. Won't buy the hatch.
Oh - just seen Tony has said that as well.

Both are ugly. Saloon is better, but they have still failed to style the front end into the side. The saloon has a nice nose, but it does not flow into the side.
Oh well, at least I have a classic, someday I can upgrade to a hawkeye, and then its the Dark Side.

I can see subaru leaving behind it's rallying pedigree which attracted many of the current owners of the impreza, and moving towards making quiet, comfy cars in direct competition to some of the larger manufacturers of more 'normal' quick road cars. I think they will always have a STi in the range, but the wrx will become slower, more refined and more acceptable to the mainstream purchasers of showroom cars in this class (30-40 age range, 2kids etc). In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the WRC team in the near future too.

its poor, thought i had wrongly purchased the 06sti when i heard about the new model in 2008, but now ................
Definately looking like an evo next though if i do change cars in the next few years.
May be the UK market means nothing to those designing the car in Japan!
